Shaken, drifting,
Specks in the water.
Settling, shifting
Within my small sphere.
You pick me up
And peer inside,
I want to touch
Your melting world.
Immortal snowflake in a globe
I wonder just how it would feel
To leave my ring,
Dissolve with Spring.
I don't want to sit
On a shelf and wait
For my world to shake.
I want to be
Where there are earthquakes.
But still I am so far away,
A snowstorm in the midst of May.
Specks in the water.
Settling, shifting
Within my small sphere.
You pick me up
And peer inside,
I want to touch
Your melting world.
Immortal snowflake in a globe
I wonder just how it would feel
To leave my ring,
Dissolve with Spring.
I don't want to sit
On a shelf and wait
For my world to shake.
I want to be
Where there are earthquakes.
But still I am so far away,
A snowstorm in the midst of May.
